Trump Says US Has ‘Virtually Unlimited’ Weapons Stockpiles

President Donald Trump said on March 3 that the United States has a “virtually unlimited supply” of weapons, as American operations against Iran continue.

“The United States Munitions Stockpiles have, at the medium and upper medium grade, never been higher or better,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social. “As was stated to me today, we have a virtually unlimited supply of these weapons. Wars can be fought ‘forever,’ and very successfully, using just these supplies.”

The president said there is a good supply at the “highest end,” but it is “not where we want to be.”

He said additional high-grade weaponry “is stored for us in outlying countries,” adding that the previous administration had given Ukraine weapons worth hundreds of billions of dollars and ”didn’t bother” replacing them.

“Fortunately, I rebuilt the military in my first term, and continue to do so. The United States is stocked, and ready to WIN, BIG!!!” Trump said.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on March 2 that the new war in the Middle East could deplete Ukraine’s own supply of missile defence equipment.

While the Ukrainian leader said the situation in the Middle East has not so far affected weapons supplies from its allies, he noted that his government understands “that a long war—if it is to be long—and the intensity of the fighting will affect the amount of air defense equipment we receive.”

Zelenskyy also warned that Russia was preparing a fresh wave of attacks, particularly targeting Ukrainian water supplies, according to Ukrainian state media outlet Suspline.

“Russia is preparing a new wave; it will attack infrastructure, logistics, and water supply. They want us to have problems with water,” he said, urging local communities to make preparations for such events. “We, for our part, must obtain more missiles for air defense.”

No ‘Endless War’

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a Fox News interview aired on March 2 that the operation against Iran will not be “an endless war,” but that it could “take some time.”

Netanyahu also said that he doesn’t expect the military campaign—aimed at neutralizing Iran’s nuclear threat—to drag on for years.

“You’re not going to have an endless war,” the Israeli leader told the news outlet, saying the Iranian regime is at “the weakest point that it’s been since it hijacked Iran from the brave Iranian people 47 years ago.”

“This is going to be a quick and decisive action, and we’re going to create the conditions, first for the Iranian people to get control of their destiny, to form their own democratically elected government, which will make Iran a different Iran altogether.”

Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in the U.S.–Israel military attacks on Feb. 28, triggering retaliatory attacks from Iran and its regional proxies, including Lebanese-based armed terrorist group Hezbollah, which has targeted Israel.

Netanyahu said the operation seeks to pave the way for democracy in Iran, but that it will be up to the Iranian people to decide their government.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has since intensified attacks against Hezbollah in Lebanon.

In a March 3 post on X, it said, “The IDF recently completed a wave of strikes targeting headquarters, weapons storage facilities, and satellite communication components belonging to the intelligence headquarters of the Hezbollah terrorist organization in the Beirut area, which were operating under civilian cover.”

It said the targets were chosen to prevent Hezbollah from carrying out “terror attack plans” against IDF forces and Israeli civilians.

This followed Hezbollah’s launching missiles and drones against Israel on March 2.
