Uganda recently passed the “Anti-Homosexuality Act, 2023,” which imposes life imprisonment for violators and even the death penalty in some cases. The law also criminalizes the promotion of homosexuality, which can lead to imprisonment for up to 20 years. Many activists and officials have condemned the law.
