A small plane crashed in Virginia, killing all four on board, including the president of a Florida-based company and her granddaughter. The plane went silent, prompting a national security response, and was found by search and rescue crews. The FAA and NORAD authorized F-16 fighter jets to fly at supersonic speeds to try and engage the pilot, but were unsuccessful. President Joe Biden was briefed on the incident while playing golf at Joint Base Andrews. The investigation will take up to two years to complete.
