The tragic loss of Charlie Kirk has revealed more about America’s cultural divide than perhaps any single event in recent memory. Rather than mourning the death of a fellow human being, the radical left has celebrated, mocked, and attempted to diagnose the “problem” as Kirk himself — rather than engaging in honest debate about the real issues facing our nation.
This is not new behavior. For years, the left has sought to destroy individuals rather than debate ideas. It is easier to smear someone as “dangerous,” “extreme,” or “unfit” than to engage with their convictions on faith, liberty, and the preservation of America’s founding principles. Charlie Kirk was not simply a conservative commentator — he was a believer in God, country, and the Constitution. That made him a target for those who despise all three.
The Left’s Weaponization of Rhetoric
The attacks on conservatism in the United States have reached levels once unthinkable. People of faith, honor, and patriotism are vilified daily in the media, on college campuses, and across social platforms. To love your country is mocked as “nationalism.” To honor God is scorned as “intolerance.” To defend the Constitution is portrayed as “radical.” Yet these values are not fringe; they are the bedrock of our republic.
The radical left refuses to acknowledge this truth. Instead, they thrive on weaponized rhetoric that pits Americans against one another. They tell us that conservatism is the problem, when in reality, it is the very anchor keeping this nation from drifting into chaos.
The Violence Double Standard
Every act of political violence must be judged by the same standard of justice, no matter who commits it. Yet we cannot ignore reality: the overwhelming pattern of unrest, destruction, and intimidation in America has been rooted in left-wing idealism. From the riots that burned our cities in 2020, to the rhetoric of “by any means necessary” that glorifies confrontation, the radical left has normalized violence as a political tool. Conservatives, by contrast, have not organized campaigns of destruction, nor have they attempted assassinations against Democrat leaders. The record is clear. Equal treatment under law is essential — but so is honesty about where the true source of political violence lies.
And yet, the left continues to cloak themselves in moral superiority while condoning, excusing, or outright cheering on destruction in the name of “justice.” This is not justice — it is lawlessness.
The Rule of Law and the Love of God
What makes America exceptional is not just our Constitution, but the fact that our rights come from God, not government. The rule of law exists to safeguard these God-given rights. When the left undermines that rule of law — by excusing rioters, targeting conservatives, or celebrating the death of men like Charlie Kirk — they do more than attack their political opponents. They attack the very foundation of this country.
As someone who believes in the love of God, I am reminded that justice, mercy, and truth are inseparable. A nation that abandons God’s truth in favor of ideology will inevitably fall into division and decay. Charlie Kirk understood this, which is why he fought so boldly for faith and freedom.
In Closing: A Call for Honor
In closing, Charlie Kirk is most deserving of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor bestowed by the President of the United States. The medal is awarded to men and women who have made especially meritorious contributions to the security or national interests of the country, to world peace, or to cultural or other significant public or private endeavors.

It has been given to presidents, civil rights leaders, generals, innovators, and citizens whose impact has shaped our nation. To receive this medal is not merely to be recognized for achievement — it is to be enshrined as part of America’s enduring story of courage, service, and sacrifice.
Charlie Kirk made that ultimate sacrifice. He gave his life not in pursuit of wealth, not in pursuit of power, but in defense of truth, liberty, and the God-given rights that underpin the American experiment. He was a young man with a bold voice, willing to stand in the public square against hostility and derision because he believed that the love of God, the sanctity of life, and the promise of the Constitution were worth defending.
That courage cost him everything.
The Presidential Medal of Freedom, placed posthumously upon Charlie Kirk’s name, would not only honor his personal legacy but would also send a message to every American: that the pursuit of liberty, faith, and truth is worth sacrifice, and that those who live and die for these ideals will not be forgotten.
As a nation, we cannot allow his voice to be silenced in vain. We must let his life remind us that freedom is never free, that the love of God is the bedrock of justice, and that America still needs men and women who will rise to defend her.
Charlie Kirk gave his life for that cause. May we, the living, prove worthy of the cost.
