A known friend and associate of Jeffrey Epstein and Prince Andrew was found dead in a French prison cell overnight.

Jean-Luc Brunel, a French modeling scout and manager who was being investigated for the alleged rape and sexual abuse of teenage girls, killed himself during the night in his cell at La Sante prison in Paris, the same way Epstein died in 2019, prison officials said Saturday. Brunel was discovered at approximately 1 a.m. by a prison guard during a routine check during the night.

Brunel, who was arrested at Paris’s Charles de Gaulle Airport in 2020, denied the allegations of sexual misconduct and sex trafficking in his work as an agent and manager made against him by multiple women, including former models.

Among Brunel’s most vocal accusers was Virginia Giuffre, who settled a lawsuit against Prince Andrew out of court last week. Brunel “farmed” out girls to Epstein for sex, and Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s former girlfriend, forced her to have sex with Brunel at one of Epstein’s homes in Paris when she was a minor, Giuffre said.

Following the arrest of Brunel, Giuffre warned Andrew and the rest of Epstein’s circle to be worried.

“You might want to start thinking of new allergies cuz you’re about to burn. This piggy will roll over on EVERYONE to save his own bacon,” Giuffre said, according to the Scottish Sun. “Those who participated in this sex trafficking ring should be worried.”

Andrew has maintained his innocence, but in the settlement, he acknowledged Epstein’s abuse and said he “regrets his association with Epstein and commends the bravery of Ms. Giuffre and other survivors in standing up for themselves and others.” He also made a donation to Giuffre’s charity, though the amount has not been disclosed.

Maxwell was found guilty of grooming minors for Epstein, along with other sex trafficking charges, in December of last year. She is scheduled for sentencing in June and faces up to 65 years in prison.

An investigation has been opened into Brunel’s death.
